Some in the scientific community felt he should have been left to die as part of Nature's cycle...His mother gave birth to him December 5th, 2006 and immediately rejected him, but zoo officials decided to keep him in an incubator for 44 days and bottle feed him. Speaking of Nature's cycle, albeit with Man helping to a sad extent, Polar Bears' future existence is seriously being called into question with the rapid melting of the arctic ice shield...but that is not the focus for today's entry...that would be too easy.
In my wasteland of a humor field in my head, I thought I'd enlighten you with some bad Polar Bear humor, using different web pics of Knut so it won't be a total waste of your time...
Q. What did the polar bear eat after the dentist fixed its tooth?
A. The dentist.
Q. What do you get when you cross a polar bear with a seal?
A. A polar bear.
Q. How do you keep a polar bear from charging?
A. Take away its credit card.
Q. What did Nanook say when he saw the Polar Bear charging across the ice?
A. "Here comes the polar bear charging across the ice!"
Q. What do you call a polar bear caught in a steady light rain?
A. A drizzly bear.
Q. What do you call a polar bear wearing earmuffs?
A. Doesn't matter, it can't hear you.
Q. What do you get when you cross a polar bear and a rose?
A. I don't know, but I sure wouldn't get close enough to smell it...
Hope your day is bearable.

Thanks for the humor, Bob!! :)
Sure could use it here today --- made me chuckle! Love the one about the ear muffs!
Saw a video clip of Knut come across my e-mail from a co-worker a week or so ago --- you know, one of those myriad "forwards" ....
He IS a cute little cub! DANGEROUS, but cute! He looks just like this stuffed polar bear cub one of my brothers had when we were kids!
And yeah, "human intervention with nature" ..... another story for another day .....
But thanks again for the chuckles this morning! :)
Suzy :)
very cute pics. A great stress reliever. lori
Honestly, we need humor every day, especially given the overwhelming amount of negative news and/or situations that bombard us at every turn, every day. Glad I could spread a few laughs, even if they were silly groaners!
Loved the jokes and pictures of Knut. Keep them coming. Check out my site Are You Polar Bear Aware? It has great information, pictures, videos and an animated cartoon that shows the "real cause of global warming". I think you'll love it. Let me know what you think.
Thanks for the link and kudos...had a friend from Alaska send me that picture, and I came real close to using it in a blog entry the other day!
