Molly's first snow!

Saturday was a Red Letter day for Molly when she got to play in her first snow that fell in western NC starting early in the morning. The slippery nature of the early snow was accentuated by her gangly legs, and it took her a while to understand how to negotiate it!

Like a duck taking to water, Molly soon had the hang of powdery locomotion. The following picture was hilarious to witness as she held her front legs rigid and pushed with her hind legs down the slope like a sled...

Mercy has seen her fair share of snow and didn't quite celebrate with Molly's enthusiasm....but Molly pesters her long enough that Mercy eventually plays with her some, just to get her to shut up!

The snow totaled right at 3", which is enough to be pretty and little enough to not be a problem. Not sure if Molly could figure out what the white stuff was doing sticking to her nose, though...

Very nice and holiday-like, that day. The first snow is always fun. The ninth, not so.

Oh my God Bob, that dog is too cute! I don't want her to grow up, but she will.

We will meet up soon!
